Rio Chen is a designer-researcher communicates through objects, graphics, and casual conversation. He focuses on social-political content that addresses ethical concerns and SpicyPop culture in contemporary art and design practice. He co-founded randr research institute to advocate political language in design and has brought creators worldwide together via Satellite virtual residency program.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Taiwan Tech and a Master’s degree in Designed Objects from School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
